This unit provides an introduction to special and inclusive educational principles and practices. There is a focus on the development of key competencies in understanding the policy, principles and teacher role in inclusive education; understanding diverse learners; establishing an inclusive classroom environment and designing inclusive curriculum and teaching interventions. Emphasis is placed on strategies that equip teachers to work with all students in regular classroom environments. This unit is subject to a quota. Limited places are available.
