International Studies Intermediate In-Country Cultural Studies - INTS209

This unit is offered on a pass/fail basis.

This unit is designed for students in the second year or above of their studies, who wish to complement their core academic program through a specialised higher-level short residential program relevant to International Studies: Languages and Cultures and the student's primary area of study. This includes study at a partner university and Macquarie University-led study tours. These programs are designed to foster personal resilience and adaptability, intercultural competence and communication skills, build international networks, and enhance overall employability through distinctive skills and experiences. A program of study at the overseas institution must be confirmed in advance in consultation with the Department of International Studies, and approved by the Head of the Department of International Studies. Successful completion of the program will be evaluated through Macquarie University, including participation in group review and submission of portfolio of evidence. Participants will be selected for the program based on their application, their suitability, and the relevance of the program to their degree.
