Citizenship: Past, Present, Global - INTS202
This unit presents an historical and conceptual approach to citizenship from ancient world to the present. The aim of the unit is to enhance students' theoretical understanding of issues of citizenship and national identity in an historical setting, moving from classical understandings of citizenship through the Renaissance and early modern period to the shifting political and socio-cultural landscapes that have given rise to transnational and global citizenships.
