Research for University Studies - WFRS001

This unit has a practical focus and is designed to guide students through the research process. Students will be introduced to general and discipline-specific research methodologies and tools and apply them to a project of their choice. Research skills such as information retrieval, evaluation and management, use of databases and academic search engines, referencing and writing literature reviews will also be developed. The purpose, importance and impact of research will be reinforced through presentations by current Macquarie academics and research students and visits to research facilities on and around the campus.
